CALMA Lunch & Learn

California Advocates for Long Term Care Medical Assistance (CALMA) will hold a networking lunch and learn on February 13, 2013 from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm for local healthcare professionals. The meeting, which will be held at LifeHOUSE Healthcare Center of Riverside, will help bridge the gap for those who have the need to help people in need.

During the meeting, healthcare professionals will network with one another to compare goals and see if they can work side by side to better the care they provide. In addition to networking with other healthcare professionals, they will have the opportunity to be drawn for a 5-10 minute slot to present themselves in greater detail.

This month’s speaker is Jason Chiriano, DO.

CALMA's lunch and learn is a great opportunity to learn what other healthcare services offer and get great tips on what they can do to better themselves.

LifeHOUSE Healthcare Center
8781 Lakeview Ave.
Riverside, CA 92509

To register for this networking meeting, contact Patty Roach at (951) 204-2255

Spirit of '45 Event

We had an event to celebrate the National Spirit of ’45 Day on Tuesday, August 14th, 2012. It was such a success that we are going to continue it next year. This celebration is held every year to celebrate the end of World War II. This year’s theme was “Honoring the Unsung Heroes,” making Spirit of ’45 Day an opportunity for everyone to recognize the “ordinary heroes” in their communities by celebrating their achievements on their “greatest day.”

What we need from you…pictures of any WWII Veterans or surviving family members. Please send us the Veteran’s service photos of WWII so that we can include them in our state “WWII Wall of Honor” this next year which will be displayed at the event. You can also send us photos of the Veteran and their spouse for inclusion in the huge mosaic that was unveiled in New York’s Time Square this year and will continue as tradition into next year as part of the “WWII Couples in Love” project. Original photos will be returned.
